History
In 1874, the Compagnie Générale des Allumettes Chimiques bought a match factory. In 1900, the Directorate General of the State Manufactures decided to completely rebuild the site. The work was entrusted to engineer Guerquin. Other buildings were constructed in 1914, 1937, 1956 and 1957. The factory closed in 1962 and was taken over by the technical services of the French Documentation in 1967. The site is the last evidence of match manufactures in the Parisian region. The last uncut chimney is surrounded by buildings with metal-frame structure and polychrome brick infill.
