Dressé à la sortie du village sur un talus, le monument du caporal Peugeot a été érigé en 1959 à la place d'un premier monument daté de 1922, détruit par les troupes d'occupation en 1940. Le monument, dû à l'architecte Schuler, est constitué d'un mur-stèle en dalles de grès et porte une inscription rappelant la fin tragique du premier mort français de la première guerre mondiale, ainsi qu'un buste en bas-relief en bronze signé Traut.

History
Erected at the exit of the village on a bank, the monument to corporal Peugeot was erected in 1959 in place of a first monument dated 1922, destroyed by occupation troops in 1940. The monument, designed by architect Schuler, consists of a stele-wall in slabs of sandstone and bears an inscription recalling the tragic end of the first French casualty of the First World War, as well as a bust in low relief in bronze signed Traut.
