Ensemble né de la création, en 1856, de la société d'exploitation des thermes et de l'intérêt porté par l'empereur Napoléon III à la station (séjours en 1856, 1858, 1865 et 1868) , lequel participe à l'élaboration du bain Napoléon et de l'église paroissiale. Projet définitif de 1858 par les architectes Isabelle, son adjoint Normand et Grillot. Rénovation par l'architecte Robert Danis en 1932-1933. L'établissement thermal est encadré par deux bâtiments qui constituent l'hôtel. Le bâtiment est de plan rectangulaire avec un corps central encadré de deux courtes ailes. Le Grand Hôtel se décompose en deux bâtiments rectangulaires distincts, disposés de part et d'autre des thermes avec lesquels ils communiquent par des galeries couvertes. Le bâtiment est a conservé sa vocation d'hôtel avec un aménagement intérieur où la hiérarchisation des pièces est définie par le choix des ordres et des volumes. Le décor imposant d'arcatures aveugles de part et d'autre de la cheminée monumentale en marbre blanc évoque la magnificence des fêtes impériales.

Complex born of the creation, in 1856, of the society for the exploitation of the thermal baths and of the interest shown by the emperor Napoleon III in the station (stays in 1856, 1858, 1865 and 1868), who participated in the development of the Napoleon bath and of the parish church. Final project of 1858 by architects Isabelle, his assistant Normand and Grillot. Renovation by architect Robert Danis in 1932-1933. The thermal establishment is framed by two buildings which constitute the hotel. The building is of rectangular plan with a central body framed by two short wings. The Grand Hotel is divided into two distinct rectangular buildings, arranged on either side of the thermal baths with which they communicate by covered galleries. The building has retained its function as a hotel with an interior arrangement where the hierarchization of rooms is defined by the choice of orders and volumes. The imposing decoration of blind arcading on either side of the monumental fireplace in white marble evokes the magnificence of imperial festivities.
