L'église paroissiale est attestée en 1298. De l'édifice des 12e et 13e siècles subsiste le clocher-porche à coupole sur pendentifs. Au début du 16e siècle, la famille de Fougère fait reconstruire l'ensemble de l'église à l'arrière du clocher. Avec la réunion des communes de Remeneuil et d'Usseau, l'église est vendue au milieu du 19e siècle. L'édifice présente un plan en croix latine. Des vestiges de peintures murales décoratives apparaissent dans le chœur et la chapelle nord. L'église est caractéristique des édifices reconstruits aux 15e et 16e siècles par les seigneurs locaux

History
The parish church is attested in 1298. From the building of the 12th and 13th centuries remains the porch tower with a dome on pendentives. In the early 16th century, the family of Fougère had the whole church rebuilt to the rear of the bell tower. With the union of the communes of Remeneuil and Usseau, the church was sold in the mid-19th century. The building presents a Latin cross plan. Vestiges of decorative wall paintings appear in the choir and the north chapel. The church is characteristic of buildings rebuilt in the 15th and 16th centuries by the local lords.
