Historique
Le château est bâti sur une motte naturelle et a servi à des fins militaires jusqu'en 1944. Il appartient au type de l'architecture militaire du 15e siècle avec mâchicoulis, créneaux, douves. Seules les fenêtres ont été repercées au 17e siècle et l'arrière remanié. De plan carré, le château est flanqué de quatre tours rondes. Il est construit sur des caves voûtées en plein cintre, établies sur un réseau de galeries. Son côté oriental est occupé par un puits de 33m de profondeur. Le rez-de-chaussée est occupé par trois pièces dont une conserve des tapisseries monumentales des 17e-18e siècles qui proviendraient du château de Richelieu. La tour attenante au salon est voûtée en coupole. Au sud-est du château sont situés les communs du 17e siècle. La fuie date de la même époque.

History
The château is built on a natural motte and served military purposes until 1944. It belongs to the type of 15th-century military architecture with machicolations, crenellations, moats. Only the windows were reopened in the 17th century and the rear remodelled. Of square plan, the château is flanked by four round towers. It is built on barrel-vaulted cellars, established on a network of galleries. Its eastern side is occupied by a well 33m deep. The ground floor is occupied by three rooms, one of which retains monumental tapestries of the 17th-18th centuries which would come from the château de Richelieu. The tower adjoining the salon is vaulted in a cupola. To the south-east of the château are situated the outbuildings of the 17th century. The dovecote dates from the same period.
