Cet oppidum est l'un des sites protohistoriques majeurs de la région Midi-Pyrénées et le plus important du département du Tarn en raison de son occupation intensive entre la fin de l'Age du Bronze et la fin du Premier âge du fer, soit environ durant la période 850-425 avant notre ère. History
This oppidum is one of the major protohistoric sites in the Midi-Pyrénées region and the most important in the Tarn department due to its intensive occupation between the end of the Bronze Age and the end of the Early Iron Age, that is approximately during the period 850-425 before our era. The defence system of this spur associates a natural cliff and an artificial earthwork. Numerous vestiges were collected during systematic surveys. Workshops of potters and metallurgists have been identified. The artefacts show imports of Etruscan and Attic ceramics. Elements of a Final Neolithic dwelling were found.
