History
Origins poorly known but existence attested from the 11th century (foundation in 1028 or 1038). Destructions during the Hundred Years' War, then during the Wars of Religion (abbey partly destroyed by fire in 1568). Works of complete reconstruction during the 17th and 18th centuries (completed in 1790). Sold as national property in 1793. In the 19th century, the property was subdivided. What remains from the medieval period (wall tombs and sculptures of the 13th and 14th centuries) is found in a former parlour.
