Historique

History
This site is part of the lacustrine settlements studied in the Rhône-Alpes region containing the remains of human occupation in humid environments, of dwellings as well as the supporting piles of wooden buildings, still visible. These testimonies ranging from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age constitute one of the great themes of European prehistory. It is a site from the final Neolithic (29th century BC). Long concealed by reeds, it was studied only in 2001 by the DRASSM. The finds extracted from the zone, essentially lithic material, cover the period of the final Neolithic. However, certain elements recovered outside excavations are attributable to the end of the Bronze Age.
