Cet édifice, réalisé par les architectes David Falk et Emil Wolf, se singularise dans le corpus des synagogues alsaciennes par sa datation tardive et par une architecture assez atypique adoptant un plan presque central quéclairent dimmenses baies cintrées. Lintérieur équipé dun aron néo-byzantin a conservé tout son dispositif cultuel dorigine, la « tribune » des femmes se situant exceptionnellement au rez-de-chaussée. La synagogue a été désaffectée en 1978.

History
This building, designed by the architects David Falk and Emil Wolf, is distinguished in the corpus of Alsatian synagogues by its late dating and by fairly atypical architecture adopting an almost central plan lit by immense arched openings. The interior, equipped with a neo-Byzantine ark, has retained all its original religious fittings, the women's "gallery" being exceptionally situated on the ground floor. The synagogue was deconsecrated in 1978.
