Historique
La construction de l'église, au centre de la partie civile de la place-forte, se déroule de 1733 à 1737 selon les plans de l'ingénieur Delisle de Salins. Cet édifice, d'aspect austère, est marqué par l'architecture massive du génie militaire de l'époque. Sa façade présente un portail classique surmonté d'un fronton courbe. Son plan est très simple : une nef unique à quatre travées, des chapelles latérales délimitées par des contreforts intérieurs. Le vaisseau plafonné se termine par un choeur en cul-de-four. La nef est éclairée par des fenêtres ornées de vitraux. Un clocher se situe au nord du choeur et, au sud, se trouve une sacristie. L'église bénéficie d'un décor assez riche : retables, peintures murales, tableaux.

History
The construction of the church, at the centre of the civil part of the stronghold, takes place from 1733 to 1737 according to the plans of engineer Delisle de Salins. This building, of austere appearance, is marked by the massive architecture of military engineering of the period. Its façade presents a classical portal surmounted by a curved pediment. Its plan is very simple: a single nave with four bays, lateral chapels delimited by internal buttresses. The ceiling-covered vessel ends in a choir in a half-dome.
