"Villa édifiée en 1936-1937 à la demande de Jean-Auguste Gros, industriel local, par l'architecte Georges Michaud. Annoncée par un portail à doubles chaperons à pans cassés et fûts ornés de carreaux de grès flammé bleu, elle comporte un sous-sol semi enterré contenant garage, chaufferie et buanderie ; un rez-de-chaussée occupé par le salon-salle à manger et le bureau ; un premier étage avec chambres et lingerie ; un second étage composé d'un studio accédant à une terrasse avec pergola. Issue de plusieurs influences architecturales et décoratives, elle constitue une synthèse des styles des années 1930 et un jalon intermédiaire entre la maison bourgeoise d'avant la Première guerre mondiale et le pavillon contemporain de la seconde moitié du 20e siècle. Tradition bourgeoise classique de la maison de maître de plan massé. Goût Art Déco pour le portail, le perron à colonnes, la pergola, les corniches et jardinières... Villa built in 1936-1937 at the request of Jean-Auguste Gros, local industrialist, by architect Georges Michaud. Announced by a gateway with double chamfered gables and shafts decorated with blue flamed stoneware tiles, it comprises a semi-sunken basement containing garage, boiler room and laundry; a ground floor occupied by the living room-dining room and office; a first floor with bedrooms and linen store; a second floor composed of a studio opening onto a terrace with pergola.
