Historique
La première caisse de secours minière fut fondée par la Compagnie d'Aniche en 1801. La loi du 29 juin 1894 institua un véritable régime de prévoyance sociale obligatoire en faveur des travailleurs du sous-sol. Les dispensaires offraient ainsi une consultation médicale gratuite et les centres de secours, créés dès 1927, permettaient l'accès aux pharmacies, dentistes... L'ancienne pharmacie centrale de Noeux s'affirmait comme la tête de pont du réseau de santé dans la concession de Noeux. Elle regroupait de nombreuses spécialités médicales dans un endroit central de la concession. L'édifice fut réalisé dans un style art-déco très caractéristique. Ce centre de soins abritait la pharmacie elle-même mais également une salle de radiographie, un dentiste, un oculiste, un cabinet de consultation médicale ainsi qu'un centre d'hygiène infantile. De nombreuses compagnies s'inspirèrent de ce type d'organisation dans les années qui suivirent, notamment celle de Béthune.

History
The first mining relief fund was founded by the Compagnie d'Aniche in 1801. The law of 29 June 1894 established a genuine mandatory social security scheme in favour of underground workers. Dispensaries thus offered free medical consultation and relief centres, created from 1927 onwards, allowed access to pharmacies, dentists... The former central pharmacy of Noeux affirmed itself as the bridgehead of the health network in the Noeux concession. It brought together numerous medical specialities in a central location of the concession. The building was constructed in a very characteristic art-deco style. This care centre housed the pharmacy itself but also a radiography room, a dentist, an optician, a medical consultation office as well as a childcare hygiene centre. Many companies were inspired by this type of organisation in the years that followed, notably that of Béthune.
