History
From the first château built in the Middle Ages to defend the Huisne valley, remain the moats, the rampart, and the entrance structure with its two turrets. The château was rebuilt in the middle of the 16th century. In 1846 a restoration in neo-Renaissance style was carried out: the facades were decorated with floral motifs, garlands of foliage and figures in medallion. The park was designed in the 17th century, and modified at the end of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th century. The present layout of the park was realised by Fauche between 1845 and 1856.
