The feudal motte surrounded by its moats is a fine example of military architecture predating stone keeps (10th and 11th century). Low Romanesque chapel, covered with 17th-century roof structure. The low chapel is half buried, and formed by four rib vaults supported by a central pillar. This chapel is the only edifice of all those which made up the castle complex that escaped destruction. It was located within the fortification enclosure, at the foot of a small hill which must have been the site of the keep.
