Construite en 1923 pour la Société Anonyme des Etablissements Louis Nicolle, cette filature est l'oeuvre d'André Granet (1902-1971) , architecte qui venait de réaliser pendant la guerre les usines Gnome et Rhône de Gennevilliers, et qui conçut une vaste structure en béton armé, généreusement éclairée par de vastes baies rectangulaires, distribuée en deux ailes de 37 mètres de part et d'autre d'une haute tour de brique. Le style aérien de cet édifice industriel illustrant une recherche architecturale originale est inhabituelle dans le monde du textile.

History
Built in 1923 for the Société Anonyme des Etablissements Louis Nicolle, this spinning mill is the work of André Granet (1902-1971), an architect who had just realized during the war the Gnome et Rhône factories in Gennevilliers, and who designed a vast reinforced concrete structure, generously lit by large rectangular openings, distributed in two wings of 37 metres on either side of a tall brick tower.
