Maison construite en 1899 par la société des Hauts-Fourneaux de la Paix pour loger son directeur. La maison est construite sur un plan rectangulaire comprenant un rez-de-chaussée surélevé, un étage carré et un niveau de combles. Le corps principal est flanqué d'un jardin d'hiver polygonal et, du côté opposé, d'un bâtiment de service en L, surmonté d'une terrasse. La façade principale présente des élévations et un décor sculpté d'inspiration 18e (fausses chaînes d'angle, auvent supporté par des colonnes ioniques sculptées de guirlandes de fruits, corniche à modillons). Les espaces intérieurs ont conservé un grand nombre de dispositions d'origine : parquets marquetés, boiseries de la bibliothèque et du vestibule, poignées de porte et entrées de serrure, disposition des sanitaires... History
House built in 1899 by the Hauts-Fourneaux de la Paix company to house its director. The house is built on a rectangular plan comprising a raised ground floor, a main storey and an attic level. The main body is flanked by a polygonal winter garden and, on the opposite side, by an L-shaped service building, topped with a terrace. The main façade presents elevations and sculpted decoration of 18th-century inspiration (false angle chains, canopy supported by Ionic columns sculpted with fruit garlands, modillion cornice). The interior spaces have retained a large number of original arrangements: parquetry, woodwork of the library and vestibule, door handles and lock entrances, arrangement of sanitary facilities...
