Dès son arrivée à Hayange en 1878, l'abbé Neumann a défendu la construction d'une nouvelle église permettant d'absorber l'accroissement rapide du nombre des paroissiens. History
From his arrival in Hayange in 1878, Abbé Neumann advocated the construction of a new church to accommodate the rapid increase in the number of parishioners. Architect Rémy Jacquemin referred to French models, in particular the Parisian church of the Trinity from which he took the elevation of the bell tower. The building was consecrated in 1884. In the 1930s, an additional sacristy and two chapels were added by architect Claude Robbe. In the nave are seen the stained-glass windows created by the Champigneulle workshops, representing the life of Saint-Martin (choir) and saintly figures (nave).
