Entourée du cimetière, l'église est construite au centre du village, à trois kilomètres de l'abbaye de Montier-en-Der. C'est une modeste église rurale dont la nef a été édifiée dans la seconde moitié du XIIe siècle. Des peintures murales, dont quelques fragments subsistent, ont été ajoutées au XVe ou au XVIe siècle. Deux grandes baies sont percées dans le mur sud de la nef en 1771. Puis, entre 1823 et 1825, une campagne de reconstruction menée par l'architecte Didier Perret métamorphose l'église en lui donnant une silhouette néo-classique : la nef est prolongée, une tour clocher et un nouveau choeur, avec une abside à trois pans, sont édifiés.

History
Surrounded by the cemetery, the church is built in the centre of the village, three kilometres from the abbey of Montier-en-Der. It is a modest rural church whose nave was built in the second half of the 12th century. Mural paintings, of which a few fragments remain, were added in the 15th or 16th century. Two large openings are pierced in the south wall of the nave in 1771. Then, between 1823 and 1825, a campaign of reconstruction conducted by the architect Didier Perret transforms the church by giving it a neo-classical silhouette: the nave is extended, a bell tower and a new choir, with an apse of three bays, are built.
