En 1851, extension de l'hôtel de ville par la création d'une nouvelle aile au sud-ouest fermant le premier bâtiment de plan en L. Le projet est établi par l'architecte Geoffroy, et comprend au premier étage la grande salle de réunion publique. Une seconde extension est établie au nord de la grande salle par l'adjonction d'un second grand salon, décidée après le passage de l'empereur Napoléon III. Le salon se compose d'une pièce en rotonde pour la communication avec le premier grand salon. Geoffroy en dresse également le plan et établit le décor en stuc des murs et des plafonds.

History
In 1851, extension of the town hall by the creation of a new wing to the south-west closing off the first building of L-plan. The project was established by architect Geoffroy, and comprises on the first floor the large public meeting hall. A second extension was established to the north of the large hall by the addition of a second large salon, decided after the visit of Emperor Napoléon III. The salon consists of a rotunda room for communication with the first large salon. Geoffroy also drew up its plan and established the stucco decoration of the walls and ceilings.
