Après l'incendie du château par les Camisards en 1704 (mobilier détruit, bibliothèque disparue), travaux de réparation : grand comble mansardé, mais conservation du système défensif, intérieur refait à l'identique. La ferme voisine comprend une habitation, des remises et une magnanerie.

History
Architectural witness to two centuries of history in the Cévennes. Fortified dwelling presumably built at the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century. After the burning of the château by the Camisards in 1704 (furniture destroyed, library lost), repair works: large mansard roof, but preservation of the defensive system, interior remade identically. The neighbouring farm comprises a dwelling, outbuildings and a silk-worm nursery.
