Le temple de Clairac est érigé dans la première moitié du 19ème siècle et doit faire l'objet d'une reconstruction au début des années 1850, à une époque où de nombreux chantiers relatifs à des églises réformées ont lieu autour de Clairac. Une partie importante de ces travaux a été financée par la communauté des fidèles.
Description
Le temple présente une forme carrée, des prolongations saillantes à ses angles lui donnant un aspect cruciforme. Il est aménagé dans le sens de la transversale, avec son entrée à l'angle Sud et son chœur à l'angle Nord. Concernant ses espaces intérieurs, il présente une vaste nef encadrée par deux collatéraux à l'Est et à l'Ouest. Ces collatéraux sont surmontés de tribunes dont des arcatures ouvertes sur la nef sont désormais comblées. Le chœur, légèrement surélevé, accueille une chaire à prêcher en bois surmontée d'un dais. Au Sud de la nef, une tribune domine l'entrée du temple et abrite l'orgue. On y accède par un escalier à vis en métal. Le temple présente un décor très réduit (on ne trouve aucun élément coloré ou décoratif sur les vitraux, notamment), mais marqué pas plusieurs éléments sculptés, au niveau du plafond et des chapiteaux des colonnes des collatéraux et des balustrades des tribunes. Une extension au Nord du temple abrite une salle de prière. Lui est également rattaché un ancien presbytère désormais inoccupé, également propriété de la commune. Une grille entoure le terrain où est bâti le temple.

The temple of Clairac is erected in the first half of the 19th century and must be the subject of reconstruction in the early 1850s, at a time when many projects relating to reformed churches take place around Clairac. A significant part of this work was financed by the community of the faithful.
Description
The temple presents a square form, with projecting extensions at its angles giving it a cruciform appearance. It is arranged in the transverse direction, with its entrance at the South angle and its choir at the North angle. Concerning its interior spaces, it presents a vast nave framed by two aisles to the East and West. These aisles are surmounted by galleries whose arcatures opening onto the nave are now filled in. The choir, slightly elevated, houses a wooden preaching pulpit surmounted by a canopy. South of the nave, a gallery overlooks the entrance to the temple and houses the organ. It is accessed by a metal spiral staircase. The temple presents very reduced decoration (one finds no coloured or decorative element on the stained glass windows, in particular), but marked by several sculpted elements, at the level of the ceiling and the capitals of the columns of the aisles and the balustrades of the galleries. An extension to the North of the temple houses a prayer room. Also attached to it is a former presbytery now unoccupied, also the property of the commune. A grille surrounds the land on which the temple is built.
