History
The former Templar establishment was dependent on the Argentens commandery. The monastic complex comprises a 12th-century church, a 13th-century main dwelling and a dovecote, the last remaining vestige of outbuildings that were arranged in a U-shape. The buildings were damaged during the Wars of Religion. Restoration work was undertaken in the 17th century. This complex bears witness to the presence of the Templars, the Hospitallers and the Knights of Malta in the Néracais region.
