Le monument remonte à l'époque du Néolithique récent - Chalcolithique. De type dolmen double, il est constitué de deux chambres funéraires juxtaposées sur un axe est-ouest, reliées entre elles par une dalle. Bien conservée, la chambre ouest, de dimensions modestes, est englobée dans un cairn de plan circulaire. Dans un second temps, une chambre plus vaste est construite. Elle est close, côté est par deux dalles doublées, dont l'une est creusée d'un hublot, et s'insère dans un cairn de plan rectangulaire. La dalle hublot est la seule connue en Quercy.

History
The monument dates from the period of the Late Neolithic - Chalcolithic. Of the double dolmen type, it consists of two funerary chambers juxtaposed on an east-west axis, connected to each other by a slab. Well preserved, the west chamber, of modest dimensions, is incorporated within a cairn with a circular plan. Subsequently, a larger chamber is constructed. It is closed on the east side by two doubled slabs, one of which is pierced with a porthole, and fits into a cairn with a rectangular plan. The porthole slab is the only one known in Quercy.
