Historique
L'ancienne église étant devenue trop petite, un projet de nouvel édifice est établi en 1834 par Joseph Marie Dalloz qui avait travaillé à l'église de Morez et s'inspire de cette dernière pour les aspects extérieurs. Le traitement intérieur reprend le modèle néo-classique de Saint-Philippe du Roule. L'église présente en façade deux clochers couverts de dômes à lanternon, formant deux petits porches de chaque côté du vestibule central sous la tribune. Le plan basilical comporte un déambulatoire à étage derrière la colonnade de l'abside. Le vaisseau central et l'abside, entourés de supports doriques et dotés d'un fort entablement, sont couverts d'une fausse voûte à caissons avec motifs peints. Le second oeuvre, en particulier stalles, boiseries, chaire à prêcher, retables et autels, ont été dessinés par l'architecte Claude-François Besand et réalisés par son père, François-Ignace, sculpteur et doreur.

History
The old church having become too small, a project for a new building was established in 1834 by Joseph Marie Dalloz who had worked on the church of Morez and drew inspiration from this latter for the external aspects. The interior treatment takes up the neo-classical model of Saint-Philippe du Roule. The church presents in façade two bell towers covered with domes with lanterns, forming two small porches on either side of the central vestibule beneath the gallery. The basilical plan comprises an ambulatory at storey level behind the colonnade of the apse. The central vessel and the apse, surrounded by Doric supports and furnished with a strong entablature, are covered with a false coffered vault with painted motifs. The secondary work, in particular stalls, wainscoting, pulpit, reredoses and altars, were drawn by the architect Claude-François Besand and executed by his father, François-Ignace, sculptor and gilder.
