Le nouveau programme comportait un groupe scolaire central avec hôtel de ville, à la place de la halle-mairie existant. Le concours lancé en 1879 fut remporté par l'architecte Tony Ferret et Adrien Pinchard. L'aile Est a été surélevée d'un étage pour l'installation de l'école professionnelle. La cour unifiée a été récemment centrée par un préau hexagonal. L'édifice a conservé, pour l'essentiel, ses dispositions.

History
A programme for the reconstruction of the town hall and schools was elaborated in 1876. The new programme included a central school group with town hall, in place of the existing hall-town hall. The competition launched in 1879 was won by architects Tony Ferret and Adrien Pinchard. The East wing was raised by one storey for the installation of the vocational school. The unified courtyard has recently been centred by a hexagonal shelter shed. The building has retained, on the whole, its original arrangements.
