Le monument, commun à Sainte-Foy-la-Grande et à Pineuilh, fut érigé, à Sainte-foy, en 1923. Adossé à un mur sur lequel montent des pieds de vigne, un grand-père assis montre à son petit-fils le casque percé par un obus, de son père mort à la guerre. La sculpture est loeuvre de Jean Camus.

History
The monument, shared by Sainte-Foy-la-Grande and Pineuilh, was erected at Sainte-Foy in 1923. Leaning against a wall over which vine shoots climb, a seated grandfather shows his grandson the helmet pierced by a shell, that of his father who died in the war. The sculpture is the work of Jean Camus.
