Historique
Le château est implanté sur le site de l'ancienne forteresse des seigneurs de Gascq, à la pointe d'un éperon s'avançant dans les palus comblés au 19ème siècle. Partiellement détruit au 17ème siècle et reconstruit, il conserve encore une tour et des postes de tirs anciens. Le domaine est clos de murs excepté au nord où une terrasse ouvre sur les palus et la Garonne. Au centre des anciens palus, une tour circulaire, la tour de Gascq, a été bâtie au 18ème siècle. Sa fonction est, à ce jour, mal définie.

History
The château is situated on the site of the former fortress of the lords of Gascq, at the tip of a spur advancing into the marshes filled in the 19th century. Partially destroyed in the 17th century and rebuilt, it still preserves a tower and old gun emplacements. The estate is enclosed with walls except to the north where a terrace opens onto the marshes and the Garonne. In the centre of the former marshes, a circular tower, the Gascq tower, was built in the 18th century. Its function remains poorly defined to this day.
