Historique
Hôpital érigé au Moyen Age. Les bâtiments médiévaux sont reconstruits et agrandis entre 1730 et 1739 sous l'impulsion de la communauté des Filles de la Charité qui administre l'hôpital depuis 1698. Une deuxième campagne termine les travaux dans les années 1770. Trois bâtiments anciens subsistent à côté des constructions modernes : la maison de retraite, la chapelle et un long bâtiment perpendiculaire aux deux précédents. L'apothicairerie conserve les boiseries, le mobilier et une grande collection de faïences et de verreries. La majorité des faïences (première moitié du 18e siècle) , ont été produites à Bordeaux et dans le sud-ouest. Les verreries sont également de fabrication locale.

History
Hospital erected in the Middle Ages. The medieval buildings are rebuilt and enlarged between 1730 and 1739 under the impulsion of the community of Daughters of Charity which administers the hospital since 1698. A second campaign completes the works in the 1770s. Three old buildings remain alongside modern constructions: the retirement home, the chapel and a long building perpendicular to the previous two. The apothecary's shop preserves the woodwork, furniture and a large collection of earthenwares and glassware. The majority of the earthenwares (first half of the 18th century) were produced in Bordeaux and in the south-west. The glassware is also of local manufacture.
