Historique
Demeure construite vers 1530, probablement par Jean de Fautoux, chanoine du chapitre de Bazas. Elle fait l'objet de réaménagements au 17e et 18e siècle. La façade sur la place est bâtie sur deux arcades en arc brisé, renforcées de trois contreforts. Les deux étages inférieurs comportent chacun trois fenêtres à chambranle mouluré, coiffées d'un gable à arc infléchi encadré de pinacles. Sous les gables, le décor sculpté illustre le goût probable des propriétaires pour l'astronomie ou l'astrologie. L'étroite cour intérieure a reçu un décor soigné, avec trois baies à arc en anse de panier. Sous cet ensemble s'étendent de grandes caves dont celle du sud présente une voûte ogivale renforcée de trois arcs doubleaux.

History
Dwelling built around 1530, probably by Jean de Fautoux, canon of the chapter of Bazas. It is subject to alterations in the 17th and 18th centuries. The façade on the square is built on two pointed-arch arcades, reinforced by three buttresses. The two lower storeys each comprise three windows with moulded surround, capped with a gable with inflected arch framed by pinnacles. Beneath the gables, the sculptured decoration illustrates the probable taste of the owners for astronomy or astrology. The narrow interior courtyard has received careful decoration, with three openings in basket-handle arch. Beneath this ensemble extend large cellars of which the southern one presents an ogival vault reinforced by three arcs doubleaux.
