History
The study of the domain is linked to the discovery of plans in the private collection of the Carlier heirs, digitised by the Maison de l'Architecture du Languedoc-Roussillon. The family archives preserve numerous plans of subsequent improvements and photographs of the building site. The château built by the counts of Mareilles in the last quarter of the 18th century is known through a lithography. Louis Carlier oriented the château towards the south to open it to the landscape and turn it towards the city.
