Historique

History
The sanctuary is entirely reconstructed, with the arrival of the Benedictines of Saint-Maur, in 1637. On their initiative, numerous improvements and new constructions are carried out during the 17th and 18th centuries. It is subsequently sold, in 1795, as national property. From 1846 to 1962, the sanctuary, entrusted to the Marist fathers, experiences a second renaissance: works on the access road, new buildings for the inn, arrangement of a Way of the Cross leading to a calvary. From the 17th century onwards, the practice of donations of ex-votos developed and continued during the 18th and 19th centuries, persisting also in the 20th century. This ensemble is dominated, among others, by the church, rebuilt by the Maurists, thus giving it a fine grandeur.
