Cette construction imposante datant de 1845-46 réunit un hôtel particulier ainsi qu'un immeuble de rapport. L'édifice bâti sur trois niveaux avec neuf travées sur chaque façade, est réalisé en pierre de taille et richement décoré. L'articulation des deux bâtiments se fait par un angle arrondi et la liaison par le traitement continu de la composition et le balcon du premier étage. L'hôtel est conçu selon un plan en U. Sa cage d'escalier est exceptionnellement vaste et couronnée par un dôme dont la verrière est soutenue par des colonnes peintes en faux marbre. Les appartements d'honneur du premier étage comprennent des salons sur rue remarquables par l'importance et le décor des corniches ainsi que la qualité des cheminées. La partie locative est traitée plus simplement avec une cage d'escalier modeste mais soutenue par des colonnes ioniques peintes en faux marbre. La Poste est installée en 1927-28 dans l'ancien hôtel et la partie locative a été aménagée en bureaux.

History
This imposing construction dating from 1845-46 combines a townhouse as well as an apartment building. The building constructed on three levels with nine bays on each facade, is made of ashlar and richly decorated. The articulation of the two buildings is done by a rounded corner and the connection by the continuous treatment of the composition and the first-floor balcony. The townhouse is designed according to a U-plan. Its staircase well is exceptionally spacious and crowned by a dome whose glazed roof is supported by columns painted in false marble. The reception rooms of the first floor include drawing rooms on the street remarkable for their size and the decoration of the cornices as well as the quality of the fireplaces. The rental section is treated more simply with a modest staircase well but supported by Ionic columns painted in false marble. The Post Office is installed in 1927-28 in the former townhouse and the rental section has been converted into offices.
