Hôtel construit vers 1855 pour les Foulc, une famille de négociants en garance originaires d'Avignon. Edmond Foulc est un grand collectionneur d'art de la Renaissance et du Moyen Age. L'hôtel est racheté en 1908 par Auguste Colomb de Daunant, membre d'une famille ayant fait fortune dans la soierie à Nîmes. Il donne à la maison sa configuration actuelle, aidé par les architectes Affourty et Walker. Le jardin d'hiver, datant de 1855, est réaménagé selon un plan inspiré d'Edouard André puis transformé en véritable serre par la construction, vers 1907, de la double verrière.

Hotel built around 1855 for the Foulc, a family of merchants in madder dye originally from Avignon. Edmond Foulc is a great collector of art of the Renaissance and the Middle Ages.
