Historique
Construit entre 1882 et 1887, ce phare à larchitecture médiévale est un équipement central de la signalisation maritime du Raz de Sein. Doté dune silhouette particulière, lédifice repose sur un soubassement carré en kersantite bleu-vert. La tour sélève sur un même plan carré allant en sévasant vers le sommet et se termine par le couronnement crénelé de la plate-forme qui supporte la lanterne. Lorganisation intérieure présente une réelle efficacité sur une surface très restreinte. Les cinq niveaux sont desservis par un escalier hélicoïdal en pierre. Bien quautomatisé en 1995, le phare demeure habitable par les techniciens des Phares et Balises pour des interventions ponctuelles.

History
Built between 1882 and 1887, this lighthouse with medieval architecture is a central equipment of maritime signalling in the Raz de Sein. Endowed with a particular silhouette, the building rests on a square base in blue-green kersantite. The tower rises on the same square plan which splays towards the summit and terminates with the crenellated crowning of the platform which supports the lantern. The interior organization presents a real efficiency over a very restricted surface. The five levels are served by a spiral staircase in stone. Although automated in 1995, the lighthouse remains habitable by the technicians of Phares et Balises for occasional interventions.
