Property built at the request of Alfred Gayet, mining engineer, inventor of the process for extraction and enrichment of gold contained in the ore of the Salsigne deposit. The construction of the villa, the hydro-electric power station and the dependencies (dovecote, orangery, laundries, stables...), as well as the development of the park, takes place between 1900 and 1904, by architect Pierre Blein. The house is decorated in the Art Nouveau style, with painted decoration by Guillermin and Mangier, stained-glass windows by the Thomas workshop, faïences by the Boulanger workshops and by Villeroy et Bosch. The villa comprises a central body and two wings, the left one in rotunda form, the right being formed of a square tower. In the landscaped park are arranged canals fed by the Epervière, leading to a series of basins according to the "rocaille" method and adorned with animal sculptures.
