History
Lordship of Monteil attested since the beginning of the 15th century. Only a truncated quadrangular tower remains, dating from the beginning of the 16th century. The upper level is occupied by a dovecot. Refuge for royalists during the Revolution. Around 1800, the agricultural dependencies of the former seigneurial estate are transformed into a master farm, offering an excellent example of a recognised type of rural houses of the late 18th and early 19th century.
