L'immeuble fut construit à la fin du 18ème siècle et surtout au 19ème siècle. Conçu selon un plan en U, son architecture est caractéristique des hôtels particuliers entre cour et jardin. L'édifice constitue un ensemble peu homogène car se rattachant à différentes époques. Les éléments représentatifs de chaque période retiennent, cependant, l'attention, à l'image de la marquise à colonnettes en fonte devant le corps principal, de l'escalier en pierre à rampe en fer forgé situé à l'intérieur de ce corps ainsi que du vestibule monumental avec son escalier en chêne et son vitrail zénithal aménagé dans l'aile nord.

History
The building was constructed at the end of the 18th century and especially in the 19th century. Conceived according to a U-plan, its architecture is characteristic of private mansions between courtyard and garden. The building constitutes an ensemble of little homogeneity as it relates to different periods. The representative elements of each period hold the attention, nonetheless, such as the marquee with cast iron columns in front of the main body, the stone staircase with wrought iron railing located inside this body as well as the monumental vestibule with its oak staircase and its overhead skylight arranged in the northern wing.
