En 1715, les soeurs de Notre-Dame de la Charité du Refuge, connues sous le nom de Dames Blanches, installèrent leur couvent à l'angle des rues Saint-Louis et des Trois-Marteaux. Pendant la Révolution, l'établissement devint une prison puis un hôpital de la maternité. Au 19e siècle, le couvent fut reconstitué dans une dépendance de l'ancien monastère des Recollets. History
In 1715, the sisters of Notre-Dame de la Charité du Refuge, known as the White Ladies, established their convent at the corner of rue Saint-Louis and rue des Trois-Marteaux. During the Revolution, the establishment became a prison and then a maternity hospital. In the 19th century, the convent was reconstituted in an outbuilding of the former Recollets monastery. The buildings were originally arranged in two isolated pavilions, placed perpendicular to the two large buildings of the arsenal, but of only one storey. The two constructions were linked by a lower structure.
