Ancienne batterie de la marine nationale française (Requin) , utilisée puis réaménagée par les allemands lors de la construction du Mur de l'Atlantique. Entre 1942 et 1943, la position va complètement se modifier. Les encuvements palplanches sont abandonnés au profit de quatre casemates de type marine qui s'échelonnent en demi-lune en arrière du poste de direction de tir. Ces casemates ont été maquillées par des lignes et des taches olives qui leur donne l'aspect et la couleur de la dune. Les tubes des canons étaient également peints et recouverts de filets de camouflage.

History
Former battery of the French national navy (Requin), used then re-arranged by the Germans during the construction of the Atlantic Wall. Between 1942 and 1943, the position was to completely change. The sheet-pile emplacements are abandoned in favour of four marine-type casemates which are arranged in crescent fashion behind the fire-control post. These casemates have been camouflaged by lines and olive patches which give them the appearance and colour of the dune. The gun barrels were also painted and covered with camouflage netting.
