Edifice datant de l'époque romane, placé sous le patronage de l'abbé de Saintes du 11e au 17e siècle. En 1862, le clocher et une partie de l'église sont recouverts. L'intérieur est remanié en 1863-1865 (voûte, carrelage). En 1893, réfection de cinq vitraux par Baudet, peintre à Jonzac. La reconstruction du clocher est confiée à l'architecte Ollivier de Jonzac (1892).

History
Building dating from the Romanesque period, placed under the patronage of the Abbot of Saintes from the 11th to the 17th century. In 1862, the bell tower and part of the church were covered. The interior was altered in 1863-1865 (vault, paving). In 1893, five stained-glass windows were repaired by Baudet, painter in Jonzac. The reconstruction of the bell tower was entrusted to the architect Ollivier of Jonzac (1892).
