Historique
L'église de Clion est bâtie à l'époque romane, peut-être en deux campagnes successives (nef, carré sous clocher, puis choeur). Elle est agrandie par une chapelle nord à l'époque gothique, puis la nef est reconstruite au 16e siècle. Le choeur, à travée droite et abside demi-circulaire, est doté de contreforts-colonnes. Le clocher carré est orné sur chaque face d'une baie géminée. La nef Renaissance, à deux vaisseaux de chacun deux travées, est couverte de voûtes à ogives et liernes. La façade occidentale, elle aussi Renaissance, possède une porte en anse de panier décorée d'un encadrement sculpté.

History
The church of Clion is built in the Romanesque period, perhaps in two successive campaigns (nave, crossing, then choir). It is enlarged by a north chapel in the Gothic period, then the nave is rebuilt in the 16th century. The choir, with straight bay and semi-circular apse, is furnished with buttress-columns. The square bell tower is adorned on each face with a twin opening. The Renaissance nave, with two aisles of two bays each, is covered with rib vaults and liernes. The western façade, also Renaissance, has a basket-handle door decorated with a sculpted frame.
