Historique
Le château de Ribérolles a été édifié sur les vestiges d'une demeure plus ancienne, comme l'attestent le colombier du 15ème siècle ainsi qu'une dalle de l'église de Rivières témoignant de la présence de la famille de Ribérolles avant le 18ème siècle. La partie centrale et l'aile droite du château ont été bâties en 1786, l'aile gauche en 1818. Il s'agit d'une demeure néo-classique à deux niveaux de baies et couverte d'une toiture d'ardoise. Partant du vestibule, un escalier mène à l'étage. Les dispositions intérieures ont été préservées comme en témoignent le décor rocaille des boiseries et les ferronneries de la fin du 18ème siècle auxquelles sont venues s'ajouter cheminées et peintures sous la restauration ainsi que des sols en tapisserie de carreaux ciment à la fin du 19ème siècle. Hormis le colombier restauré, une porte moulurée à accolade du 15ème siècle a été préservée et remontée dans le mur séparant le château de la métairie. Granges, écuries, remises dépendances fermières construites au milieu du 19ème siècle ainsi que trois caves voûtées complètent l'ensemble du domaine.

History
The château of Ribérolles was built on the vestiges of an older dwelling, as attested by the 15th-century dovecote as well as a stone from the church of Rivières testifying to the presence of the Ribérolles family before the 18th century. The central part and right wing of the château were built in 1786, the left wing in 1818. It is a neo-classical dwelling with two storeys of openings and covered with a slate roof. Starting from the vestibule, a staircase leads to the upper floor. The interior arrangements have been preserved as evidenced by the rocaille decoration of the wood panelling and the ironwork from the late 18th century to which have been added fireplaces and paintings during restoration as well as floors with cement tile tapestry at the end of the 19th century. Apart from the restored dovecote, a moulded door with accolade corbel from the 15th century was preserved and remounted in the wall separating the château from the farmhouse. Barns, stables, sheds and farm outbuildings constructed in the middle of the 19th century as well as three barrel-vaulted cellars complete the ensemble of the estate.
