Historique
Entre le Charenton et la Charente se situe la prairie du Cocuron. Pour y accéder et en exploiter le foin, un procès de 1757 indique que l'un des propriétaires faisait chaque année poser un pont de bois provisoire. L'actuel pont en pierre semble donc postérieur à cette date. Sur l'intrados de la voûte, une inscription gravée porte l'année 1777. Le pont est construit en pierre de taille. Les culées contrebutent une unique voûte en anse de panier. Les claveaux sont à crossette au niveau des reins. Pour préserver la voûte des inondations annuelles, son extrados est plus haut que les berges du ruisseau. Le couronnement qui suit cette forme est, de chaque côté, un corps de moulure composé d'un cavet et d'un gros tore. Au-dessus prend place le parapet. Le tablier a conservé son revêtement d'origine, un cailloutis très dur. Chaque parapet est protégé par cinq chasse-roue en demi tronc de cône.

History
Between the Charenton and the Charente lies the Cocuron meadow. To access it and exploit its hay, a lawsuit from 1757 indicates that one of the owners had a provisional wooden bridge erected each year. The current stone bridge thus appears to be later than this date. On the intrados of the vault, an inscribed inscription bears the year 1777. The bridge is constructed of ashlar stone. To preserve the vault from annual floods, its extrados is higher than the banks of the stream. The coping which follows this form is, on each side, a moulded body composed of a cavetto and a large torus. Above is placed the parapet. The deck has retained its original surfacing, a very hard gravel. Each parapet is protected by five half cone-shaped wheel guards.
