Historique
Eglise néo-classique édifiée entre 1840 et 1843 par Paul Abadie (père). L'église qui précédait celle-ci, relevait de l'abbaye de Saint-Cybard. Son édification remontait à 1110 et était rattachée au pélerinage jacquaire. Elle avait un plan en croix et se situait à l'est du nouvel édifice. Celui-ci n'est pas orienté. Il est construit en pierre de taille calcaire, la couverture est en tuile creuse et zinc pour la coupole et le clocher. Le plan est en croix latine, précédé d'un porche. L'abside est en hémicycle. Le clocher, à trois étages, est rectangulaire et attenant à l'abside. Deux sacristies sont placées le long des bras de transept. Le porche, élevé sur quatre marches, est supporté par quatre colonnes ioniques. Le fronton triangulaire est bordé, sur ses rampants, de modillons entre lesquels se trouvent des rosaces. Le porche abrite la porte principale, encadrée de deux niches abritant deux statues dues à Pajot. Deux portes latérales donnent accès à l'église, encadrées d'un porche dont le fronton est porté par deux colonnes, et précédées d'un emmarchement. Tout l'édifice est sommé d'un étage d'attique au-dessus d'une corniche saillante. Le carré du transept est couvert d'une coupole surhaussée, présentant en son centre un oculus sous un lanternon. L'abside, couverte d'un cul de four, présente un sommet ajouré d'un oculus.

History
Neo-classical church built between 1840 and 1843 by Paul Abadie (father). The church which preceded it was dependent on the abbey of Saint-Cybard. Its construction dated back to 1110 and was attached to the Jacobean pilgrimage. It had a cruciform plan and was situated to the east of the new building. This one is not oriented. It is built in ashlar limestone, the roof is in curved tile and zinc for the dome and the bell tower. The plan is in Latin cross, preceded by a porch. The apse is semicircular. The bell tower, with three storeys, is rectangular and attached to the apse. Two sacristies are placed along the arms of the transept. The porch, raised on four steps, is supported by four Ionic columns. The triangular pediment is edged, on its ramps, with modillions between which are found rosettes. The porch shelters the main door, framed by two niches housing two statues due to Pajot. Two lateral doors give access to the church, framed by a porch whose pediment is carried by two columns, and preceded by a flight of steps. The entire building is topped by an attic storey above a projecting cornice. The square of the transept is covered with a raised dome, presenting in its centre an oculus under a lantern. The apse, covered with a cove, presents a summit pierced by an oculus.
