Historique
Eglise construite en 1937 selon le projet de l'architecte Pierre Croizet qui adopte un style néo-roman rationaliste. Plus particulièrement inspirée par le style périgourdin (voûte à coupole sur pendentif) , elle comprend une église basse surmontée d'une église haute à nef unique et large, couverte d'une coupole au niveau du faux transept. Le clocher carré est accolé à la façade sud, elle-même ornée d'une statue monumentale du Christ, réalisée par le sculpteur Georges Bigeard. Sa mise en uvre mêle matériaux traditionnels (granit, pierre de Murat) et techniques modernes (béton armé). Le programme décoratif s'ouvre à l'art moderne : vitraux figuratifs et abstraits de Marguerite Huré ; bas-reliefs du sculpteur C. Bouscau ; peintures et mosaïques des ateliers Mauméjean.

History
Church built in 1937 according to the project of the architect Pierre Croizet who adopts a rationalist neo-Romanesque style. More particularly inspired by the Périgord style (dome vault on pendentive), it comprises a lower church topped by an upper church with a single and wide nave, covered by a dome at the level of the false transept. The square bell tower is attached to the south façade, itself adorned with a monumental statue of Christ, created by the sculptor Georges Bigeard. Its execution mixes traditional materials (granite, Murat stone) and modern techniques (reinforced concrete). The decorative programme is open to modern art: figurative and abstract stained glass by Marguerite Huré; bas-reliefs by the sculptor C. Bouscau; paintings and mosaics from the Mauméjean workshops.
