History
The church of Saint-Julien (1954-1959) is one of the most remarkable of the Reconstruction in Lower Normandy. The idea of a church built on an elliptical plan had germinated with Henry Bernard during his captivity in Germany. It was at Caen that the architect had the opportunity to realize such a church, thanks to the support of mayor Yves Guillou, at the same time as he drew up the plans for the university.
