Les premières maisons sont construites rue Saint-Contest, et l'adduction d'eau est demandée en janvier 1905. History
This estate is the first Caen application of the provisions of the law of 30 November 1894 regarding support for economical workers' housing. The first houses are built on rue Saint-Contest, and the water supply is requested in January 1905. These HBM, initially designed on the principle of workers' houses, respond to the hygienist concern by division into narrow plots allowing the installation of a vegetable garden. The last two houses on rue des Rosiers are built in 1922.
