Les Marin, famille de capitaines au long cours originaire d'Italie, enrichie dans le commerce du Levant, firent construire une bastide dans la seconde moitié du 17e siècle. La première mention de cette bastide apparaît dans le cadastre de 1680. La maison présente toutes les caractéristiques architecturales communes aux bastides aixoises et marseillaises du 17e siècle. A la simplicité des façades s'oppose la richesse des aménagements intérieurs : escalier à double révolution sur trois niveaux ; cheminées monumentales en plâtre de style baroque. Quelques aménagements datent des 18e et 19e siècles, qui n'ont pas fondamentalement modifié les dispositions d'origine.

History
The Marin, a family of sea captains of Italian origin, enriched through trade with the Levant, had a bastide built in the second half of the 17th century.
