L'église remplace en 1949 la chapelle en bois utilisée depuis 1879 par les mineurs de la mine du Banel. Edifice réalisé dès 1942 en ciment armé à partir des plans de André Salvan et André Boyer, architectes à Rodez. Le décor peint à partir de 1951 par Gabriel Genieis, évoque la vie des mineurs en parallèle avec la Passion du Christ. Les vitraux sont réalisés en 1967 par les moines d'En Calcat.

History
The church replaced in 1949 the wooden chapel used since 1879 by the miners of the Banel mine. Building constructed as early as 1942 in reinforced cement according to the plans of André Salvan and André Boyer, architects in Rodez. The painted decoration from 1951 by Gabriel Genieis evokes the life of miners in parallel with the Passion of Christ. The stained glass was created in 1967 by the monks of En Calcat.
