Chapel situated on a wooded hillock, mentioned in the 12th century. It was partly destroyed during the Wars of Religion (1588) and restored in the 17th century. The parish service continued to be celebrated during the Revolution until 1793, the date at which worship was forbidden there. Under the Concordat (1802), the parish of Besplas was united with that of Villasavary. It was returned to worship in 1847 after further restorations. Today, the church is disused. It is a church with a single nave and semi-circular chevet. The nave is covered by a barrel vault with round arch. The choir, very slightly raised in relation to the nave, is separated from it by the triumphal arch (simple double arch resting on rectangular pillars). In the 18th century, the choir was the subject of rich decoration in polychrome marble. The church contains statues of the 17th century and a marble retable from Caunes installed in the 18th century. This chapel is a place of memory which has known significant episodes: crusade of Simon de Montfort, raids of the Black Prince, Wars of Religion, ...
